RPCF are committed to facilitating the voice and lived experience of families to reduce isolation, gather a collective voice and ultimately enable better outcomes for our young people. We are committed to working in partnership with services to shape the delivery of services our families receive. The aim of this session is looking to inform and work in partnership with parents/carers across the Rotherham borough of the action being taken to address the areas of concern identified by Ofsted and CQC.
RMBC have been tasked by Ofsted and CQC to produce a WSoA (Written Statement of Action) focusing on each of the areas of significant weakness identified by the inspectors.
One of the areas of concern identified in the inspection was the variability in the quality of EHC plans, including the contribution of health and social care partners. We have been attending regular meetings to feedback the experiences we hear through different channels including our social media, focus groups, drop-in sessions, family activities etc. We have collated members questions and comments from the various focus groups, drop ins and other channels and will discuss them at the event with the Local Authority. The in person listening event with the local authority will take place on 9th December from 9.30am (ready to start at 10am) - 12pm at:
