Written Statement of Action (WSoA) Virtual Listening Event 12th May 09:30am-11:00am
12th May 2023
Following RMBCs Written Statement of Action in July 2021 RPCF have been working in Partnership with services, to help to shape change within the four areas of concern. In this session we would like to hear your examples of how services are for you now. Do you feel that services have improved? What's working well for you and your young people?
The four area which required improvement were:
◼The variability in the quality of EHC plans, including the contribution of health and social care partners.
◼The effectiveness of the graduated response to identify and meet children and young people’s needs, especially in key stages 1 and 2.
◼The quality of provision for children and young people’s preparation for, and transition to, adulthood.
◼Communication with all parents and carers of children and young people with SEND about the local offer, and the accessibility of the very valuable information included within the local offer.

RPCF are committed to facilitating the voice and lived experience of families to reduce isolation, gather a collective voice and ultimately enable better outcomes for our young people. We are committed to working in partnership with services to shape the delivery of services our families access and receive. Over the past 18 months we have facilitated listening events to gather and share the experiences of families, whilst also giving an opportunity for service leads to share updates from each area of concern, as outlined in the written statement of action.
The listening event is an ideal opportunity to hear what has happened since the WSOA, what the next steps will be and how parent/carers voice is vital in this process to ensure the changes are making an impact on people experiences. RPCF would like your to hear your views, questions or queries, if you'd like to contribute and or would like to join this event please click HERE to complete form or email admin@rpcf.co.uk
