Super Proud Mum

Super proud of my boy today, he is 11 and has ASD and SPD. He is in a mainstream school and I'm not going to lie, it's been far from easy. Today was his final day of primary. Last weekend he went on a 2 day residential (he's never away from home) and joined in with all but one activity and survived all, be it with some very strange clothing combinations.
Yesterday at his leavers assembly every member of staff made a point to come and say how far he's come and how proud I should be. Today he got his SATS results and has passed them all and exceeded the expected scores.
I'm not putting this post to brag, just to say don't give up hope, anything is possible. I've lost count of the number of times I've cried, ranted and nearly thrown the towel in with school. It's been really hard but we did it.
