Exciting News: New SEND Hub for Children, Young People, and Neurodivergent Adults in Rotherham Town Centre
We hope this newsletter finds you well. We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you about a groundbreaking project that is set to enhance the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and neurodivergent adults in Rotherham. We wanted to share this news with you before it is made public in the local press this week.
Introducing the SEND Hub in Rotherham Town Centre
In collaboration with Rotherham Council, Rotherham Parents Forum Limited proudly announces plans for a new SEND Hub. This innovative Hub will be located in the Eric Manns building in Rotherham Town Centre, and our whole organisation will relocate. The Hub will cater to the unique needs of children and young people with SEND and their families. The SEND Hub will offer diverse recreational activities and comprehensive peer support.
Expanding Services for Young People up to the Age of 25 and Beyond
In addition to supporting children and young people, the SEND Hub will extend its services to neurodivergent adults through our Rotherham Adult Neurodiversity Support Service (RANSS).
Key Features of the SEND Hub:
- Central location
- Accessibility throughout the building
- Development of a daily activity timetable in collaboration with you and the people we work with
- Focus on positive friendships, reducing social isolation, and improving wellbeing.
- The Hub will offer various services that are part of our current offer, such as activities, training, workshops, peer support, counselling, and sibling support.

A new Rotherham town centre location will allow us to provide more activities, events, and workshops to our families and the SEND community at no extra cost. This is a dream for our organisation, our families, and the whole special needs and disabilities community in Rotherham."
