Spring Term 2022
Family Support Hubs are offering several sessions this Spring that may be of interest to families with children and young people with autism.
The team at Autism East Midlands proudly invite you and your families to join us for the first full session of 2022 of our new Rotherham Family Support Hub on Saturday 22nd January at the Unity Centre from 10:00am to 12 noon.
The aim of the hub is to offer support and a safe space for families who have children on the Autistic Spectrum. We meet on the fourth Saturday of each month (except December) from 10:00am to 12 noon. These are drop in sessions for the whole family to enjoy. Children (including siblings) can participate at their own pace with support from parents and our staff team. We offer a choice of activities including themed arts and crafts and table top games. There is also a communal area so you can sit back and enjoy some refreshments, whilst talking to other families and sharing experiences or speaking with staff for advice and support.
We are ever mindful of the need to be safe at this time and I know that some families have decided to be more cautious whilst infection rates remain high . Face coverings will be required for all adults and anyone over 12 years who is attending. We would ask that if you or members of the immediate family are displaying any signs of infection or have had a recent positive lateral flow or PCR test, that you refrain from attending on this occasion but feel free to contact us by email if you need to. Obviously if anything changes with regard to Government instructions, then we will need to act accordingly.
