Autism Be The One Suicide Prevention Campaign
10th September 2025
Today, members of our team were proud to attend the official launch of the Autism Suicide Prevention Campaign, part of Rotherham Borough Council’s wider Be The One initiative.
This important campaign has been created to shine a light on the unique challenges faced by autistic people when it comes to mental wellbeing and suicide prevention. RPFL has been actively involved in its development, helping to ensure that the voices and lived experiences of autistic people we work alongside were central to shaping the campaign and its toolkit.
The campaign aims to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage people to reach out for the right support at the times they need it most. By providing clear information and practical resources, it is hoped that more people will feel able to seek help and that families, friends, and professionals will be better equipped to offer support.
We believe this campaign is an important step towards creating a community where no one feels alone, unheard, or judged.

Together, we can make a difference—by being aware, being compassionate, and helping signpost those we care about to the right support when it matters most.
